Pentacrinites fossilis Jurassic UK


This Lower Jurassic Crinoid is a classic type found at Lyme Regis, Dorset, UK. It is Lower Lias, Lower Jurassic age circa 195 million years old. The species is Pentacrinites fossilis. The matrix is 160 x 100mm across and shows clear branching arms, cirri and stem. This is a very fine quality crinoid fossil, quality preservation and nice colour. Complete crinoids of this species fetch upwards of £1000 so this inexpensive fossil would make a great addition to anyones collection. from an old private collection. Supplied with label. Platicrinites gigas Caylx Carboniferous UK


This Crinoid calyx is from the Visean Stage, Carboniferous that occurs at Clitheroe, Lancashire, UK. It is circa 310 million years old. The species is Platicrinites gigas and it is 25mm across. This is economy grade but nonetheless a steal at the price. Pentacrinites fossilis Stem Jurassic UK


This Lower Jurassic Crinoid is from the top of the Belemnite Marls that occur at the base of the cliffs in Seatown, Dorset, UK. It is Lower Lias, Lower Jurassic age circa 180 million years old. The species is Pentacrinites fossilis and it is 8mm across the ossicle (stem plate) and 6mm in height. This is a very fine quality crinoid stem section, great plate definition, quality preservation and nice colour. Isocrinus fisheri Stem Jurassic UK


This Middle Jurassic Crinoid is from the Upper Oxford Clay that occurs at Warboys, Cambridgeshire, UK. It is circa 157 million years old. The species is Isocrinus fisheri and it is 6mm across the ossicle (stem plate) and 3mm in height. This is a very fine quality GEM crinoid stem section, great plate definition, quality preservation and nice colour. Neilsenicrinus cretaceus Stem Cretaceous UK


This Middle Cretaceous Crinoid is from the Gault Clay that occurs at Folkstone, Kent, UK. It is circa 110 million years old. The species is Neilsenicrinus cretaceus and it is 5mm across the ossicle (stem plate) and 11mm in height. This is a very fine quality GEM crinoid stem section, great plate definition, quality preservation and nice colour. This Middle Cretaceous Crinoid is from the Turonian, Upper Chalk that occurs at Dover, Kent, UK. It is circa 85 million years old. Schypiocrinus elegans Devonian Africa


Schypiocrinus elegans. A beautifully prepared museum quality crinoid standing proud on matrix with gorgeous colour. The combined height of the stem, arms and calyx on this specimen is 210mm or 8 1/2 inches, sitting on matrix measuring 225 x 170mm across and 25mm thickness. This has extraodinary detail and would make an excellent display piece. A very fine example of an uncommon crinoid for echinodermata lovers. Encrinus lilliformis Triassic Germany


This classic Middle Triassic Crinoid is from the Upper Muschelkalk that occurs near Crailsheim, Germany, Europe. It is circa 235 million years old. The species is Encrinus lilliformis and it measures a huge 92mm from base of stem to tip of branching arms in height on matrix that is 135 x 97 x 40mm. This is a very fine museum quality crinoid specimen, great definition, quality preservation and nice colour. Macrocrinus verneuilianus & Azigocrinus rotundus. A well prepared crinoid calyx pair standing proud on matrix with gorgeous detail. They are 18 and 25mm in height respectively on matrix measuring 88 x 60 x 22mm. This Lower Eocene Crinoid stem section is from the London Clay that occurs at Beltinge, Herne Bay, Kent, UK. It is Ypresian age circa 50 million years old.
