Globidens aegypticus Mosasaur Tooth Cretaceous


Globidens aegypticus. Upper Cretaceous, Phosphate Beds, Khourigba, Morocco, Africa. This comes from one of the rarest and strangest mosasaurs that ever lived. This beast had totally different teeth to traditional mosasaurs, using them to crush sea shells and crustaceans on the sea bottom. It measures 25mm across the crown and has a beautiful textured dome shaped surface with wonderful colouration. It also has some of the original root.
